I shot these photos yesterday morning while the dew still lingered. Wish I had time to write, but with only two weeks left in the quarter, my time is spent researching and writing papers, developing presentations, etc. Crunch time! THEN, three weeks of break and high holidays!!!! The adage “A picture speaks a thousand words” works for me today. So enjoy the three thousand words and have a fabulous weekend. π

They’re all beautiful, but the second and third really grabbed me!

There is something special about white roses.
Glad you like them. I am fortunate in that the roses grow right next to the deck and are within reach . . . and smell! π Thanks for stopping by, Barbara.
They say a picture is worth a thousand words! Best of luck with all your endeavors in this busy time, Cecelia.
Thanks Naomi. And thanks for the correct quote. I was so tired when I posted this I could not get it right to save my life! But I had the right idea.
I love the hint of pink on those roses. Have a great weekend.
Glad you like the roses. You have a great weekend, too.
Beautiful roses! I love the dewdrops and how the photos really capture the velvety texture of the petals. They look like they’d melt like a leaf of chocolate if you put one on your tongue (that’s probably a really weird thing to say, but I’m going to go ahead and leave it there).
Thanks for leaving the comment in. I concur!!! The lovely thing is those are roses on our rose bush. The previous owners planted it years ago and not the bush is wild and unweildy, but I’m still getting roses. I’ll cut the bush back this fall and hopefully it will produce more roses next year. I LOVE roses! Glad you like the photos. (mmmmm, white chocolate! π )
Wow, that is one perfect rose!
Thanks pattisj. These roses grow on a bush next to my deck. This year the roses are blooming in abundance!
Beautiful!! ~Patricia
