A River of Stones: Day 12

Paid a visit to my new doctor today. The body is aging and telling me so. My knees are giving me fits. Maybe I need surgery. My ears feel stopped up. Maybe I need a hearing aid. My eyes aren’t so good. Maybe I’m going blind. My weight is inching upward. Maybe my thyroid is out of whack. My height is inching down. Maybe I have osteoporosis. My brain is working slowly. Maybe I’m getting dementia.

Nice to meet you Doc. Let me tell you about my problems.

Doc: Um hmm. May be you need some exercise and a healthier diet.

    1. LOL! And that really is about how it came down! Love my new doctor but she wasn’t having any of my drama. Oh well. At least it made for a fun post! 🙂 Thanks for stopping by.

  1. welcome to the club Cecelia! Those symptoms are part of my normal life and the reasons It is called old age except you have not got there yet…and I cannot believe that I have too but it is so.

    1. Yes, age is catching up with me and my body is slowing down (or is it breaking down?) At any rate, exercise and a healthy diet will help quite a bit. Thanks for stopping by.

  2. And you’re young yet–at least compared to me.

Be glad you have a doctor you can feel a tad superior to. Mine is a gorgeous woman, past menopause, with a fantastic figure. Her complexion is radiant, her salt-and-pepper hair cut in a stylish blunt cut. Her clothes, mostly blacks, whites, and grays, obviously come from one of the finer stores in town. I feel so frumpy when I’m in her office.

    1. Oh my. My doc is beautiful, too, but not gorgeous. And she is a lot younger than me, so it is ok. But feeling frumpy, well that seems to be a perpetual feeling for me these days. I’m going to have to do something about that! As always, thanks for stopping by. 🙂

  3. LOL! and timely for me. I talked to my specialist on the 10th. Every time I think this is the last. He’s a nice doc as docs go, patiently answers my questions even though the staff is beeping him! And his a-bit-over-sized-stomach ‘twitches’ every now and then like my dad’s. Be well, my friend!
