This week’s challenge is to post a photo that we shoot today. No going back in the archives to retrieve a ‘great’ shot, rather grab the camera, go out and take photos now! On some days this is quite a challenge. One wants to show off his or her best work, and some days just don’t cut it! Today however, even though it is overcast and rainy, I hit paydirt! There is a LOT of activity going on outside my dining room door on the deck where I keep a homemade bird feeder and birdbaths. These birds get quite aggressive when it comes to their food and their baths! Enjoy!

Birds in action! One can`t help but love them.
Yes, you are correct! They have certainly entertained me today. Glad you enjoyed them, too. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Love the grackle! I’m impressed at the quality of the pictures of the birds at your feeder. The ones at my feeders must be more skittish (perhaps because of the neighbor’s cats). (Or it’s possible that photographing them well is beyond my current skills, but I’d rather blame the cats.)
Blame the cats! 🙂 Thanks for the compliment. I took these sitting in my dining room looking through the french doors which may explain why they were oblivious to my presence. I would have NEVER gotten these shots if I had been sitting out on the deck (except maybe for the squirrel…see yesterday’s post.) Thanks for stopping by. Have a wonderful weekend. 🙂
Great shots … the blue jay looks very confident and proud of himself 🙂
The bluejay makes himself very scarce so I consider myself lucky to get any shots of him. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Ah you lucky devil you! Excellent shots… 🙂 All those birds that run away when I whip out my camera must be visiting you. 😆
Well, I cheat. I sit at the diningroom table with my computer and books and papers, AND with the camera next to me so that I can grab it and shoot a few shots (looking through french doors) when the animals put on a show. If I was out there I would never see anything. 🙂 Thanks for stopping by. I’m glad you like the photos. (Only two more weeks and this quarter comes to an end!)
At least the birds linger long enough to be photographed. Best wishes on finishing the term. TY!:-)
Thanks for the pingback. I am honored. 🙂
Excellent series! Photographing birds it’s always fun :D, isn’t it?
Glad you liked it! The birds have captivated us. I sit at the diningroom table doing my studies with a camera next to me at the ready. All these photos were shot looking through the glass door leading out onto our deck.
Thanks for the pingback! Much appreciated. 🙂
love these Cecelia…my cats tend to keep our yard bird free…so seeing these is wonderful
Glad you like them. 🙂 They are providing great entertainment for us!
Great work for this week topic Today 🙂
Thanks Jake. I appreciate you stopping by. 🙂
Thanks for the pingback. 🙂
beautiful bird photos cecelia, looks like a very busy feeder!
When I set the pie pans out for feeders and birdbaths I had no idea how busy our deck would become! The birds have been a delightful joy for us to watch. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
fun slideshow, Cecelia. thanks for sharing
Glad you like! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Very nice shots Cecelia – love the bickering around the birdtable 🙂 Don’t recognise them apart from the Sparrow so a quick heads-up would be good 🙂
Martin, thanks for stopping by! We are becoming avid bird watchers since moving into our new home. It is fun. 🙂
There are indeed Song Sparrows in the bunch!
What a beautiful day it was. Bright and spectacular birds… Thanks.
They are fun to watch! I’ll be sharing a lot more of them throughout the summer I’m sure. Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
