No snow today. No rain either. I noticed. Mostly overcast, but at least the rain held back. The sun shone for a moment here and there, too. I mean it really shone. I stared out the window at the still sodden ground, then glanced at the trees. The contrast between light and shadow was stark, and beautiful. I noticed.

I can see the contrast…well done!
Thank you. I’m glad you like it.
it’s a web of trees!
Yes, it is. Every day I see something new when I look out my windows at that web, and I am happy to share it. 🙂
thank you for noticing – and sharing 🙂
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great day. 🙂
Beautiful moment in time Cecelia. A day in our lives. Check out my video post “Winter Fog On the Blue Ridge Parkway. I think it mirrors your day.
I will most definitely check it out! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
Wishing sunshine for you today! 🙂
Thanks Sweetdays. I appreciate that. 🙂
What a beautiful shot of the trees. They look so “alive” in a “Lord of the Rings” way.
oooo… I like that — “in a ‘Lord of the Rings’ way.” I never thought of that, but I have to agree! Cool!! Thanks for stopping by, Louise. 🙂
Glad you did Cecelia! Lovely. Margie
Thanks Margie. 🙂
Beautifully done, Ms. F…
wonderful tone! I really like the shallow d.o.f. here, too… (seems to me to help focus on all those great foreground details without their getting lost in what looks to have made an otherwise complicated background…)
I’m glad you like it, SIG. This is one of those that I really liked but wasn’t sure that others would. I love the play between light and shadow, and all the smaller detailed stuff in front. But then I’m biased. 😉
Love those tangled branches… 😉
Thank you Elizabeth. Glad you like the photo.:-)
