Thanks, Derrick. The sun shone brilliantly on that tree and that’s what I was going for. But I had my gloved hand over the lens for a few minutes as I walked and when I raised the camera to shoot the photo, I realized the heat from my hand had gone through the glove and fogged the lens! I waited a bit for the lens to clear, but the light was changing so fast that I went on and shot the photo rather than chance losing it all together. When I processed the picture, I decided that I really liked the muted foggy look on the lower half of the frame. Nice effect. Thanks for stopping by.

My mind races in the morning and has usually achieved relax mode by evening. But so true about relax, take it easy. Not easy though 🙂

Geeeshh! I forgot! Your tree sitting surrounded by fog with the sunlight touching the top limbs is a beautiful capture. We had fog yesterday morning but no sun. Still was beautiful in that wintry way.
Thanks sweetdays. Actually there was no fog. I was walking in the cold (obviously) and had my gloved hand over the lens not thinking that the heat from my hand would pass through the glove and fog up the lens. When I went to shoot (lighting was perfect) my heart sank when I looked through the lens and everything was fogged! I waited a few minutes for the lens to clear, but the light was changing by the second so I shot a few frames before the fog was completely cleared from the lens. As it turned out, I got a nicer photo than I would have imaginged. Glad you like it. 🙂

Glad you like it SIG. I was pretty sick when I saw that the lens was fogged over. I waited a bit but the light was changing so fast that I thought I would lose the thing altogether so I started shooting away anyway.
