In the quiet of the evening my mind races. Deadlines are looming. Breathe deeply. Allow the peace to come in and flood my body, breathe out the toxic tense breath that dulls the senses. Take it easy for a bit. Life is too short to do otherwise.
Thanks, Derrick. The sun shone brilliantly on that tree and that’s what I was going for. But I had my gloved hand over the lens for a few minutes as I walked and when I raised the camera to shoot the photo, I realized the heat from my hand had gone through the glove and fogged the lens! I waited a bit for the lens to clear, but the light was changing so fast that I went on and shot the photo rather than chance losing it all together. When I processed the picture, I decided that I really liked the muted foggy look on the lower half of the frame. Nice effect. Thanks for stopping by.
Thanks Christine. The foggy look is my lens fogged over and I was too impatient to wait for it to clear up. So I ended up with a surprisingly good (in my estimation) and artistic shot! Glad you like it. 🙂
Geeeshh! I forgot! Your tree sitting surrounded by fog with the sunlight touching the top limbs is a beautiful capture. We had fog yesterday morning but no sun. Still was beautiful in that wintry way.
Thanks sweetdays. Actually there was no fog. I was walking in the cold (obviously) and had my gloved hand over the lens not thinking that the heat from my hand would pass through the glove and fog up the lens. When I went to shoot (lighting was perfect) my heart sank when I looked through the lens and everything was fogged! I waited a few minutes for the lens to clear, but the light was changing by the second so I shot a few frames before the fog was completely cleared from the lens. As it turned out, I got a nicer photo than I would have imaginged. Glad you like it. 🙂
I was just about to ask about that, Ms. F…
very cool! It does look like fog in a way, only different, somehow! It’s a great effect here… very nice!
🙂
Glad you like it SIG. I was pretty sick when I saw that the lens was fogged over. I waited a bit but the light was changing so fast that I thought I would lose the thing altogether so I started shooting away anyway. I love it when photography surprises me with such serendipitous events! Thanks for stopping by. 🙂
By accident or not, it’s the photo that it’s important. And this one is a really beautiful one! Very good approach about taking it easy. If only we could remember it more often…
you got some good color in the tops of the trees. 😉

Hang in there my friend. Tomorrow is another day. Margie
Thanks Margie. You are right. Thanks for stopping by.
Breathe. Relax. Repeat.
Love the photo . . . with the foggy bottom.
Thanks Nancy. It was one of those “surprise” shots that turned out better than I thought it would. 🙂
so true, breath by breath, moment by moment, that is life …love the slight foggy look!

My mind races in the morning and has usually achieved relax mode by evening. But so true about relax, take it easy. Not easy though 🙂
You are right; not easy. But I’m working on it. Thanks for stopping by.
