It’s that time of the week again. Since last week I’ve unpacked most of our boxes, a task that has proven to go faster as a result of moving into a tiny apartment. The rest of our stuff was given away, thrown away or stored until we decide what to do with it. To be honest, I think I’m going to like the “downsized” us a LOT! Also, this is the penultimate week of the quarter; I just completed my last discussion post and now all that is left to do is complete the final project. If all goes according to plan (yes it will, don’t be negative) I will submit that by the middle of the coming week and then I will be done for the quarter! Woohoo!! I will have three weeks before I start up again. Of course in that three weeks we also have Rosh Hoshana, Yom Kippur, and Sukkot….actually the next quarter will begin before the last days of the last holidays. Busy but happy times!
Now on to the five questions. Here they are. Feel free to answer if you so desire, then share your answers with the rest of us.
1. What ringtone do you have on your cell phone?
Nothing special. Just a ring tone. I don’t fool with the songs and cutesy stuff. My phone rings and that is all I need for it to do. 🙂
2. What is your favorite memory from this summer?
Our wonderful vacation in July! It was glorious glorious glorious. Those of you who followed my daily blog at that time can attest to just how awesome and glorious that vacation was.
3. Paper books or ebooks?
Both. Paper at home, ebooks on the subway or elsewhere when a hardback or paperbacks are too cumbersome to carry. I downloaded Kindle onto my ipod and so I drop my library into my purse when I go someplace. I always have a book to read no matter where I am.
4. If you could have one home upgrade what would it be and why?
We rent now so that is not a consideration. When we buy however, I will want a fully loaded kosher kitchen and tiled bathrooms. 🙂 Why not? I plan to be in our own home before this time next year. Make note of that. 🙂
5. When was your first serious boyfriend/girlfriend?
Oh my goodness…. That was too long ago. I didn’t date that much, and really wasn’t serious about anyone until I met the man I would marry. That proved to be a bit of a problem, but at the time it seemed like a good idea. 25 years later we divorced. At least I can say I tried. Now however, I am married to the love of my life. Our tenth anniversary is coming up this fall. 😉
Ok, your turn. And next week I will break a bit from the norm and substitute questions of my own. . .unless the 5QF folks come up with some really awesome questions!

I will always love hard copy books more than others. It’s just me.
I agree. If given my druthers, I’ll take a hard copy any day. But I will use ebooks when on the road. It’s just a matter of convenience. Thanks for stopping by. I’ve missed seeing you. Have a wonderful weekend.
Great answers.Mine are the ff: as for ringtone, like yours, nothing fancy.whatever my wife selected, and nothing too loud; favorite memory this Summer was my 10 Summer adventures with my family; I’m conservative- paperbooks!; Home upgrade would be a huge covered patio where I can stay all day blogging while sipping my favorite coffee ; my first and last serious one was my wife, she got me by hello!
10 Summer adventures sound fun! As to home upgrade, I’ll put yours on my list, too!!! Mom and Dad have a huge screened in back porch and when I am home I live out there doing just what you suggest: blogging, sipping coffee, and observing the natural life of their back yard. And sweet that your wife is your one and only love. Thanks for stopping by and for sharing your answers to today’s questions. Have a wonderful weekend.
Great answers! Like you I don’t mess with the ringtones (my wife and I don’t use the cellphone much, just between home and whoever’s “out”) but the one for the home number is a sitar-sounding jingle… my wife and I love curries.
Thanks for stopping by HoakPhal. Glad to hear that I’m not alone on the ringtones. I tried using the bells and whistles and all it did was confuse me. So, for my phone I choose to remain simple. 🙂
Good questions: The only people who usually ring me on my mobile (Cell) are usually my daughters and I have a special ring for them “Here come the Girls” I’ve got some peculiar warble noise for other calls. I prefer proper books because I like the feel of paper and turning pages. I would love to have a new bathroom and my granddaughters 1st birthday was a great memory this Summer and as for serious boyfriends, that was far too long ago to remember 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Ronnie! And thanks for joining in the fun and answering some questions. You do better with the ringtones than I do! I just use what came with the phone. As to books, hardcopy is better, but ebooks sure are handy. I’m with you on the boyfriends… that was indeed a long time ago. Hope you have a marvelous day.
I consider myself lucky if my phone rings at all. Seriously, it will alert me to a ‘new’ voice mail 2 weeks after someone left a message. If I’m lucky.
It’s a finely crafted instrument.
🙂
I can’t laugh…. Since we moved into this apartment we are having similar problems. “Finely crafted instrument” is not what I call it but since this is a “G” rated blog, I’ll leave it at that! 😉 Hope you have a mellow weekend. 🙂
“Downsized” is great ~ less is more. Enjoy your freedom while it lasts.
🙂 It’s nice!
Like you, I love all books… 🙂
Thanks for stopping by Elizabeth.
Thank you for the pingback.
