A Dear Friend Needs Support. . .

I had planned to update y’all on our last days of vacation and what is going on since our return home.  In fact, I will still do that, so here goes:

1. We had great time with friends in Detroit.  Mazel Tov to Avraham on his Bar Mitzvah!

2. My husband who has been unemployed for approx. 5 months received job offer in Cleveland (while we were still in Detroit.)  Yay! We’re moving in August.

3.  The drive home was so wonderful we took an extra day and arrived back home Monday evening rather than Sunday evening.

BUT, something of more importance has come to my attention and I want to share with all of you.  I have a dear friend who has turned “criminal.”  I taught two of her daughters when I was teaching and living in Detroit.  Julie is one classy lady, and spunky to boot, but as of late she has gotten in trouble with the law and I’m concerned for her.  She means well, and there is no doubt she loves her family, but I just heard she may face jail time for her clandestine activities.  I’m sharing this with you because I want to support her.  I invite you. . .no, URGE you to visit her blog to see what is going on.  I am saddened by her life of “crime” and pray for the best outcome possible, and for justice to all those responsible for her “criminal” acts.  PLEASE check our her blog, subscribe to keep up with her “rehabilitation” and help in any way you can.  Julie, I am pulling for your success in every way.

You can also google “Julie Bass” to find out more about her criminal activity.  Again, I am asking you to PLEASE help Julie.

  1. Congrats on the move and the new job! I will check our your friends blog later this evening. I hope everything else is going good with you. May your journey to your new place be pleasant 🙂

  2. That’s wonderful news about the job and the move!

What a story, that about the veggie garden! Unbelievable!!! Hope things will be sorted out for her…

    1. thanks for the kind words! We move in August. As to the veggie story, I find it absolutely unbelievable. Stupid! When we have drug dealers, thieves, abusers, etc. out on the street and the city threatens a responsible, religious wife and mother of six with jail time for planting vegetables in her front yard, I think our elected officials have gone mad! I hope that things will go well for her and that the political parties making the threats get their come uppance. Thanks for your comments.

    1. Thanks for you well wishes. It will be good to once again receive paychecks! 🙂
As to the notification, try resubscribing and see if that helps. WordPress has been a little unpredicatable lately, but I thought it had more to do with my server than with WordPress. At any rate, have a fantastic day.

    1. Thank you, T2T. The next two months will be quite interesting, chaotic, exciting, daunting, etc. but the end result promises to be fantastic! Thanks for stopping by and for your well wishes. I’ll keep everyone posted. 🙂

  3. Congratulations to your Hubby on the new job! And all kinds of good luck and happy move wishes to you as you plan to relocate in Cleveland 🙂 If you find some extra minutes to blog, it will be fun to follow you on your move! I am off to check the link you provided to your dear friend.

    1. Thanks for checking out Julie’s link. And, yes, I plan to blog about the entire process. Why should I go through this alone! hahaha. Thanks for stopping by; have a wonderful weekend.

  4. You covered a lot of ground in this post… Welcome home. Congrats to your hubby. Bon voyage on your move and prayers for Julie … and for all of us really. Indeed, this is what we call life with all its permutations.
    Sending hugs to all! 🙂

    1. Thank you THank you. Yes, we all needs prayers. Hugs back to you! I’m not sure what the next weeks will look like, but having moved frequently, I do know that we’ll get through it and find friendship and adventure in out new “digs.” Time permitting (I still have classes to keep up with!), I’ll be blogging it every step of the way! ;D

    1. Thanks, Doris. It is great news; Richard was offered a job when we least expected it. I have mixed feelings about relocating, though. Washington, DC area is full of activitiy, history, museums, beauty, and on and on and on. I love it here! Having said that though, we have talked of retiring to Ohio for years; lower cost of living, much closer to family and friends, etc. So this move is taking us to where we want to go. Bittersweet is how I would describe this move. At any rate, there are always new and wonderful discoveries to be made at each new location. Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated.
