I had planned to update y’all on our last days of vacation and what is going on since our return home. In fact, I will still do that, so here goes:
1. We had great time with friends in Detroit. Mazel Tov to Avraham on his Bar Mitzvah!
2. My husband who has been unemployed for approx. 5 months received job offer in Cleveland (while we were still in Detroit.) Yay! We’re moving in August.
3. The drive home was so wonderful we took an extra day and arrived back home Monday evening rather than Sunday evening.
BUT, something of more importance has come to my attention and I want to share with all of you. I have a dear friend who has turned “criminal.” I taught two of her daughters when I was teaching and living in Detroit. Julie is one classy lady, and spunky to boot, but as of late she has gotten in trouble with the law and I’m concerned for her. She means well, and there is no doubt she loves her family, but I just heard she may face jail time for her clandestine activities. I’m sharing this with you because I want to support her. I invite you. . .no, URGE you to visit her blog to see what is going on. I am saddened by her life of “crime” and pray for the best outcome possible, and for justice to all those responsible for her “criminal” acts. PLEASE check our her blog, subscribe to keep up with her “rehabilitation” and help in any way you can. Julie, I am pulling for your success in every way.

thanks for the kind words! We move in August. As to the veggie story, I find it absolutely unbelievable. Stupid! When we have drug dealers, thieves, abusers, etc. out on the street and the city threatens a responsible, religious wife and mother of six with jail time for planting vegetables in her front yard, I think our elected officials have gone mad! I hope that things will go well for her and that the political parties making the threats get their come uppance. Thanks for your comments.

Thanks, Doris. It is great news; Richard was offered a job when we least expected it. I have mixed feelings about relocating, though. Washington, DC area is full of activitiy, history, museums, beauty, and on and on and on. I love it here! Having said that though, we have talked of retiring to Ohio for years; lower cost of living, much closer to family and friends, etc. So this move is taking us to where we want to go. Bittersweet is how I would describe this move. At any rate, there are always new and wonderful discoveries to be made at each new location. Thanks for stopping by. Much appreciated.
