A couple of years ago my daughter and grandson came for a visit. We spent a day at the National Zoo, probably the hottest day of the year. Jacob, my grandson, “refreshed” himself by playing in the water spray the zoo provides for hot visitors. Kids and adults alike love the sprays! Enjoy!
great picture!
he’s cute 🙂
Thank you Doris. I concur, he is cute!!!! 🙂
Priceless!! WIsh i could do that too!! I knew you’d come out with something good!
Jacob LOVED the zoo. It is wonderful to see things through the eyes of children. This was one of those classic moments that sticks in your mind forever. Glad you enjoyed it.
“Look, ma. No umbrella !”
LOL!!! Even if we had umbrella’s, knowing Jacob it would be quickly discarded. Water of any kind is like a magnet for him. Good thing his mother (my daughter) is a good sport about it all! Thanks for stopping in and for taking time to leave a comment. Much appreciated.
Great pic! I enjoyed the mists at Universal theme park two summers ago. Very refreshing.
Thanks for stopping by! The mists are great on a hot day, and very thoughtful of any establishment that provides them. Have a refreshing day today!!! 🙂
Your grandson says it all … let it rain! I could trade places with him, right now. Love this picture.
Thanks for stopping by, klassikurvz. I could use a some mists myself. Glad you like the photo, and appreciate you taking the time to leave a comment. Have a gloriously refreshing day!
Haha, i totally love it! 😀
It was a great day for all of us, and the water mists placed all around the zoo made the heat more bearable. As you can see, Jacob was drawn to the water like a magnet. Glad you like the photo.
Shoot. This makes me wonder if I should bring swimming trunks to Disneyland on our next trip. They’ve got fountains in the Bug’s Life section of DCA, but I always cruise on by before Li’l D can see them. Hmm.
YES!!! Take the swimming trunks! You will ALL have great fun, and get some cool photos, too! Enjoy your next trip 🙂
Great photo! It certainly looks refreshing. My grandson is like yours – he loves playing in the water. In fact, I often get in trouble for letting my grandson, Peanut, help me water the garden. Peanut always gets soaked and his mother (my daughter) has to change his clothes.
Don’t you just love being a grandma! We get to have all the fun and leave the tough stuff up to our kids! Peanut and Jake would have great fun together. Thanks for stopping by.
he looks like he is having a good time. great photo
Yes, where ever there is water, Jacob will be playing in it! What fun. Thanks for stopping by.
Looks wonderful … I’d like to trade place with him too. Refreshing indeed! 🙂
Yes, i could use that mist today, too. Thanks for stopping by.
I am having fun looking at him having fun!

Thanks for visiting. I just visited your site….great photo!
Jacob is darling and that is a great shot for this weeks photo challenge. I am happy to have found your blog. I am not sure how that happened but it is a good thing! We lived just outside of DC in Northern Virginia from 1989 to 1992. Very interesting experience. I am enjoying reading your blog this night that I can’t sleep.
Cool! I’m happy you found my blog, too. We are enjoying living in NoVA. Also glad you’re enjoying rading my blog…hope it’s not the thing that puts you to sleep! 😉 Hope to see more of you. Thanks for visiting and for taking the time to leave a comment.
Thank you!

Oh, to be a kid again… 🙂
Great photo of Jacob being refreshed by the water spray. Photos like these help memories last a lifetime. Love it!
I know what you mean! Jacob had a ball, and we followed suit! Thanks for dropping by and leaving a comment. 🙂
Thanks for your visit… Love your pic – it really does look refreshing, although way too cold with us sitting in the middle of winter down here in the southern hemisphere!
My husband grew up in south of the equater, and he still has trouble with the hot weather in June, July and August!
Wonderful!!!! It makes me jealous!
Oh to be a child again! Actually, we could do more child-like things, just not childish. Life is fun when we join children in play and catch their wonder. Thanks for stopping by, and for taking the time to leave a comment.
